Official Languages

Spanish is the official language for the entire country. The six autonomous communities of Catalonia, the Basque Country, Galicia, Valencia, Navarre and the Balearic Islands have declared regional languages official  as well as Spanish. These are Catalonian, Basque, Galician, Valencian, Basque in the Basque-speaking areas of Navarre and a variety of Catalonian spoken in the Balearic Islands
