Experts in cheese production from Switzerland, Canada, Mexico and the United States will meet in Gran Canaria (Spain) as part of an international seminar, organized as part of the Island's celbration of the international "World Cheese Awards" in October 1st and 2nd, said in a statement the event organizers.
The event, considered the most important show in the world of cheese, leaves for first time in the British Isles, after two decades in London and one Dublin edition.
The meeting is aimed at producers, distributors and specialized media, and will count with the presence of experts from different denominations of origin, the Spanish Academy of Gastronomy and the Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine.
In this forum, questions like "gastronomy, tourism and the media" or "territorial attachment for cheese" will be addressed by the leading experts of this food sector.
