Cintra is get selected to build a highway in Texas, budgeted at 2,800 million euros


Cintra, the Ferrovial subsidiary, has definitely signed and closed the deal for the construction project, and subsequent 52 years of operation, of the LBJ-635 Texas Freeway, a project valued at 2,800 million euros, according to a press release from the company.


The project, a 27.2 kilometers section within the Dallas metropolitan area, aims to ease congestion in one of the busiest corridors in Texas.

This is the fifth highway Cintra gets in the country. Last February, the State of Texas had named the Spanish firm as a preferred bidder for this project, prior to the now final assingment.

The subsidiary of Grupo Ferrovial has received this project through a consortium lead by the firm, and along with Meridiam Infrastructure and the investment fund of the of the Dallas police and firefighters pension fund.
