Movistar, the mobile subsidiary of Spanish group Telefonica and Research In Motion (RIM) have just launched the smartphone in Venezuela BlackBerry Curve 8520.
The new model provides easy access to email, messaging (SMS, MMS) and the popular social networking sites (including Facebook and MySpace), besides having a full-Qwerty tactile keyboard. It also has various multimedia features and access to music, games and other mobile applications for entertainment anywhere.
This is the first BlackBerry smartphone with dedicated keys for multimedia functions, perfectly integrated into the top of the device, giving users an easy and convenient way to control music and videos.
Telefonica, which operates under the Movistar brand, is a leading innovator in the Venezuelan market which offers mobile services, fixed telephony, mobile Internet and digital TV with 11.9 million accesses at the end of 2008.
