Damel, Spanish manufacturer of sugar confectionery for children with brands like Palotes, Cheiw or Pectol, is preparing its entry into the Americas, according to a company statement. The first step is the establishment of a firm in the U.S., as a platform to launch the commercial activities in the North American market.
The new company, Damel North America, will target the development of the company's strategic business plan in the continent, and negotiating with distribution companies operating in different channels of the country.
Thus, Damel aims and take the first step in its internationalization process, which targets to strengthen its current presence in over 30 markets, through the creation of several commercial offices in the most strategic locations. This is an extremely ambitious project, framed within the structural expansion program of the company, which affects not only Damel products, but the entire business group to which the company belongs, Mercadalia.
