Curtains that give off light; protective children’s wear that guards against ultraviolet rays and that have antimicrobial properties; antifungal underwear; socks with healing properties; anti-stress sheets and rugs that can detect human presence - these are some of the innovations that can be seen at the Textile Industry Research Association AITEX III International Conference in Valencia, Spain.
AITEX participants will comprise researchers from North Carolina State University (USA), Hohenstein Institutes and RWTH Aachen University (Germany), University of Minho (Portugal), CENTEXBEL and University College Ghent (Belgium), TNO (Holland), Technical University of Lodz (Poland) and other institutions that, like AITEX, apply the latest research in science and technology to develop new textiles.
