The Spanish power company Iberdrola has finalized an agreement with oil giant Chevron that will allow it to begin selling gas in the United States right away.
The company headed by Ignacio Galan, announced that it will be able to transport up to one billion cubic meters of natural liquid gas a year to the U.S.
The fuel will be processed at a regasification plant in Sabine Pass, Texas. The facility belongs to Cheniere Energy and is connected to the Kinder Morgan Louisiana Pipeline, which supplies gas to all of the country’s major consumer centers.
