23 Spanish Ports Participate in Seatrade Cruise Shipping Miami

Puertos del Estado, a Spanish public entity, 23 Port Authorities and various companies and institutions comprise the Spanish Pavilion at Seatrade Cruise Shipping Miami, the largest cruise fair in the world with 900 exhibitors from 120 countries and 10,000 visitors, according to fair organizers.

The more than 6 million cruise-goers that visited Spain in 2009 are reason enough, reports Puertos del Estado, for the Spanish government to promote the country as a destination offering a wide range of cultural, scenic and gastronomic experiences.

Ports that will comprise the Spain Pavilion include A Coruña, Alicante, Almería, Bahía de Algeciras, Bahía de Cádiz, Baleares, Bilbao, Barcelona, Cartagena, Castellón, Ceuta, Ferrol, Gijón, Huelva, Málaga, Melilla, Motril, Santander, Sevilla, Tarragona, Valencia, Vigo, and Vilagarcía. The town councils of cities like L'Alfas del Pi, Castellón and Palamós will also participate, along with the tourist bureaus of Benidorm, Castellón, Andalucía, the Costa Daurada, the Costa Brava and, the Tourism Office of Spain in Miami.

Adding to the list of official organizations are displays of olive oils, wines and spirits, cheeses, sweets, etc. (most with denomination of origin status) from several companies that will be promoted and introduced as distinctively Spanish products.
